Best. Day. Ever. January 28, 2010

A dream come true, a winter wonderland! It was 70 degrees yesterday afternoon, today we woke up to lots of rain, but not serious problems getting to school like normal. About 8:30, the snow and ice started falling. About 10:00 we lost power at Levelland ABC… shortly thereafter, all kids were picked up by their parents. We left school at about 11:30, just as the snow/ice stopped for about 3 hours. We made it safely home with no problems. I got to meet Talin for lunch at Chick-Fil-A, then I went to the mall and shopped to my heart’s content ALL BY MYSELF!! As we speak, the snow is falling once again. And I am making Chicken and Dumplings for dinner! The perfect snowy day kind of meal. I am so thankful for crazy Texas weather and for being able to travel safely through it! I was worried about Davy freezing to death while I was gone, but thought… no, surely he’ll huddle up in a warm place.

Nice warm and cozy doghouse???? Naaaaaaa

Run around barking in the blizzard?? Ice chunks caked on my hair?? Sounds good to me!!

Gotta love him, even though he’s not the smartest at times…

Davy, that is, not Talin. He’s always a smartie!

Have a great day!

Glad you got to come home and had such a wonderful afternoon! Y’all have a good night and I hope you get the day off tomorrow, or at least get to sleep in. 🙂

What a silly dog, but really, did you expect anything else from Crock-Pot????
