Remembering Dad April 16, 2008

A great picture and wonderful reminder.

Yesterday, April 15th, was the one year anniversary of my Dad leaving this world and going to a much better place. A place where he no longer had to suffer from a disease that affects so many people and causes so much pain and decreases quality of life.

Amanda and I went out to the farm and told stories about what we remembered about Dad. I wanted to drive around all the fields and remember the many years of wonderful memories that I have about him. We are making it a yearly tradition to watch the slide show that we made for the memorial service to be a wonderful reminder of the great, joyful man that my Dad was, and that when we have children and grandchildren they can see and hear about who he was and what he meant to us.

I want to thank all of you who have been praying for our family over the past 3 years, during the times when Dad was here and fighting, and during the times that he was gone when we were here mourning. Thank you for thinking of us and showing such kindness and love.

What an awesome post…and I LOVE that picture! Chris and I were just saying that this month marks 6 months since his Dad passed away. It is hard to believe that it has been a year since your Dad passed away. Thanks for sharing this post!!!

This is great! Been thinking about all of you. Karl wrote a little thing about Terry a few weeks ago for school. I’ll share it with you sometime.
